The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) granted NorthCare Network (NorthCare) the contract to serve as the Prepaid Health Plan for all Upper Peninsula Medicaid recipients needing mental health services, substance abuse services, and support services for persons with developmental disabilities. The contract became effective October 1, 2002. The contract is updated and renewed annually.
NorthCare is an affiliation formed in February, 2002 which is comprised of the five Upper Peninsula Community Mental Health Centers (CMHs). Pathways, doing business as NorthCare, has been designated as the lead agency of this affiliaion
